Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support continuous improvement initiatives within Accounts Payable for a leading agriculture organization in Calgary. This long-term contract is ideal for someone with strong process analysis, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze AP processes, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and consistency.
• Partner with finance, procurement, operations, and technology teams to streamline workflows and standardize processes.
• Develop reports and present business insights, KPIs, and improvement recommendations to leadership.
• Support automation and digital initiatives from analysis through implementation.
• Assist with change management, process adoption, and post-implementation improvements.
• Develop governance practices, monitor KPIs, and support compliance with policies and regulations.
• Conduct process mapping and risk assessments to strengthen controls and improve operations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members while promoting a continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or operational support within a complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, financial controls, compliance, and governance.
• Experience with workflow analysis, process mapping, automation, ERP systems, and reporting tools.
• Proven ability to lead improvement initiatives and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
