Our client is looking for a Branch Auditor to support branch-level audit activities across an agricultural retail network in Calgary, Alberta on a Long-term Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and experience assessing operational controls and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with branch teams and leadership throughout audit engagements.
• Conduct branch audits from planning through final reporting.
• Review inventory, receiving, invoicing, restricted products, and hazardous materials processes.
• Test transactions and controls for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Document audit findings and provide practical recommendations.
• Present results and recommendations to branch and regional management.
• Monitor remediation activities and follow up on outstanding audit issues.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, compliance, and operational processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Agriculture, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in internal audit, internal controls, compliance, risk management, public accounting, or a related function.
• 3+ years of experience with retail operations, operational oversight, or business process monitoring.
• Experience testing operational controls and evaluating end-to-end business processes.
• Strong organizational, investigative, planning, and report-writing skills.
• Confident communicator comfortable working with frontline teams and senior leadership.
• Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills; SAP experience is an asset.
• Ability to travel extensively, up to 40% of the time.
