Bookkeeping Supervisor

Location: Surrey, BC (Full-Time, On-Site)

Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

We are seeking a Bookkeeping Supervisor to lead and mentor a high-performing team of bookkeeping professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coaching people, building efficient processes, and working with a broad client base while remaining within public practice.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a large team of bookkeeping professionals.
• Oversee workflow planning, resource allocation, quality control, and team performance.
• Review bookkeeping files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to firm standards.
• Support staff development through training, coaching, and performance management.
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
• Manage priorities across multiple client engagements while maintaining deadlines.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes, efficiencies, and client experience.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of progressive public accounting experience in a mid-sized or large public practice firm.
• Current supervisory or management experience leading accounting or bookkeeping professionals within a public practice environment.
• Demonstrated success managing a portfolio of Canadian business clients, including organizations with annual revenues of approximately $15M+.
• Strong experience overseeing multiple client engagements simultaneously in a public accounting setting.
• Extensive knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping and accounting practices.
• Experience working with British Columbia-based clients is essential.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and people management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability and willingness to work full-time on-site in Surrey, BC.

Assets

• CPA designation (or working toward completion).
• Experience supporting clients across multiple Canadian provinces, particularly Alberta.
• Experience implementing process improvements and developing high-performing teams.
