About the Opportunity

Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Full cycle Bookkeeper to join a growing service-based organization in Surrey, BC. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys managing full-cycle accounting responsibilities across a dynamic business.

You will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting for a company with annual revenues of up to $25 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) functions
• Process and coordinate payroll (approximately 50 employees) through a third-party provider (Ceridian experience is an asset)
• Perform month-end close activities, including financial reporting and variance analysis
• Prepare and submit tax remittances (GST, PST, payroll-related filings, etc.)
• Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel
• Support budgeting and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in a full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting role (5+ years preferred)
• Experience working within a service-based organization
• Exposure to companies with $15M–$25M in annual revenue is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Sage 50 and strong working knowledge of Excel
• Experience with Ceridian payroll (or similar third-party payroll systems) is an asset
• Post-secondary education in accounting, such as a diploma or bookkeeping certificate (Canada)
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
