Robert Half is partnering with an excellent well renowned organization that's looking to add a fluently bilingual Finance Officer to their Finance team. This is a full-time/permanent role located in Ottawa.

Responsibilities:
-Verifying and processing invoices, expense claims, advances, travel grants, salaries, overtime and approved leave applications
-Calculating and remitting source deductions payments to government institutions and other organizations as required
-Verifying, calculating and posting revenues and expenses to proper accounts
-Maintaining general ledger, accounts payable, travel advances, travel grants, salary, leave and expense claim systems
-Conducting reconciliations of membership dues and transfer payments to Locals and processing transfer payments to Locals
-Conducting reconciliations of the monthly bank statements
-Preparing and making bank deposits as required
-Preparing Electronic File Transfers and requests for stop payments as required
-Preparing financial statements, reports and other financial documents as required
-Administering a bi-weekly payroll and benefit system for staff
-Monitoring the budget
-Tracking investments and renewal dates
-Following up with members with respect to outstanding advances
-Other accounting related duties
Qualifications:
-Must be fluently bilingual in both official languages (English and French)
-Must be comfortable to undergo a criminal and credit check
-Minimum 3-year College diploma in accounting, or comparable experience
-Three to five years of accounting experience in an office environment
-Solid working knowledge with Excel
-Strong attention to detail
-Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize conflicting demands
-Excellent interpersonal skills and professional communication with internal and external colleagues
-Proven ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities
-Experience with Sage 300 is a strong asset
