Bilingual Finance Business Partner

Due to exciting expansion and growth, our West GTA client is adding a Bilingual Finance Business Partner play a critical strategic role in supporting regional leadership to drive financial performance, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth. This highly collaborative, forward-looking position requires a fully bilingual (French/English) finance professional with strong business partnering capability and advanced FP& A expertise, capable of influencing decision-making across the organization.
As the region’s primary financial advisor and steward, the FBP is accountable for P& L oversight, proactive identification of risks and opportunities, and providing insight-driven recommendations that shape strategic and operational outcomes. Success in this role demands intellectual curiosity, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable guidance for operational leaders. This position is integral not only to the Finance function, but to the achievement of overall business objectives across Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to regional leadership, proactively guiding strategic and financial decision-making.
- Provide forward-looking perspectives on P& L performance, identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead scenario planning, financial impact assessments, and ROI analysis related to headcount planning, capital expenditures, new branch openings, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate forecasting inputs, alignment to business priorities, and accountability across stakeholders.
- Develop strong relationships with operational leaders, supported by a deep understanding of regional operations and market dynamics.
- Design and implement financial frameworks, models, and tools to support informed, data-driven decisions.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analysis (FP& A)
- Lead the preparation of integrated budgets and rolling forecasts aligned to regional business plans and operational realities.
- Drive financial literacy across the region by facilitating cross-functional workshops and planning sessions.
- Deliver robust monthly performance analysis across sales, margins, operating expenses (OPEX), and working capital, highlighting variances and actionable insights.
- Conduct high-impact strategic financial analyses (as distinct from transactional accounting activities).
- Prepare and present materials for Monthly Regional Business Reviews, including presentations for the CFO and Executive Leadership Team.
- Support strategic and ad hoc initiatives through advanced financial modeling, analytical rigor, and evidence-based recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Full professional fluency in both French and English (required), with the ability to partner effectively with French-speaking leadership and stakeholders.
- CPA designation (completed or in progress), strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, with demonstrated success in Finance Business Partnering and FP& A roles.
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
- Strong systems proficiency, including advanced Excel skills; required experience with Oracle EPBCS/GL and Power BI; Tableau experience considered an asset.
- Proven ability to influence and challenge business leaders constructively through insight-led financial advice.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior and executive leadership.
- Highly proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
