- Supervise graduate students, research assistants, para-professional staff and other psychologists
- Supervise other counsellors, social service staff and assistants
- Use standard psychological tests for assessment
- Write progress reports
- Prepare a treatment plan for each patient
- Provide therapy
- Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment
- Implement treatment plans
- Perform administrative tasks
- Analyze the patient during the treatments
- Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes
- Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them
- Counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions
- Maintain accurate records
- Plan intervention programs
- Initiate, design and implement specialized therapy programs
- Follow up results of counselling programs and clients' adjustment
- Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
- Administer standard psychological tests for assessment
- Conduct vocational testing and psychometric assessment
- Interpret test results
- Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up and court reports
- Identify additional/alternative services and provide referrals
- Liaise with community agencies or partners, and identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals
- Provide expert witness testimony in court proceedings
- Provide public education and consultation to other professionals or groups regarding counselling services, issues and methods
- Administer first aid in emergency situations

Salary: $81,062.00 to $87,669.00 annually (to be negotiated)
