Major responsibilities



- Assist with reviewing social enterprises to possibly close certain locations
- Plan and implement a variety of risk-based internal audits to ensure effective and appropriate internal controls are in place.
- Develop audit programs and perform various types of financial, performance, operational, and comprehensive assurance engagements to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and the efficiency of operations.
- Assess risk and provide recommendations to improve existing policies and procedures, ensuring that internal controls and systems operate effectively and efficiently.
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding internal control compliance and risk matters, such as the overall quality of internal controls efficiency, risk management, best practices, findings and recommendations of internal audit and risk assessment work.
- Prepare audit reports and document findings; present and communicate audit results to varying levels of management and/or the Board. 



- Designated Accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 5 + years’ experience
- Strong understanding and experience in internal controls and risk management
- Internal/external audit experience to assist in both internal and external audit processes and requests if needed though strong accounting skills is required
- Property accounting experience nice to have
