Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a long-term contract opportunity in Calgary, Alberta within the energy and natural resources sector. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys high-volume invoicing, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing accurate results. The position will initially focus on billing and invoice submission, with responsibilities expanding into collections and account management over time.

Responsibilities:

• Process and submit a high volume of customer invoices through billing portals and external submission channels.

• Manage invoicing activities using OpenInvoice and Ariba, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

• Review purchase orders, supporting documentation, and invoice details before submission.

• Handle both portal-based and direct invoice submissions while meeting daily processing targets.

• Monitor account status and support billing, payment follow-up, and document resolution activities.

• Assist with resolving billing discrepancies and outstanding invoice issues.

• Gradually assume collections responsibilities for key customer accounts.
