Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a team in Alberta on a long-term contract assignment. This role is well suited to someone with strong AR experience who can manage invoicing, payment application, credit support, and collections in a multi-location environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day AR activities, including invoicing, cash application, and account maintenance.

• Support U.S. invoicing requirements and sales tax compliance.

• Reconcile payments from bank deposits and credit card transactions.

• Assist with credit reviews, credit limits, and account setup.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and support collections activities.

• Work with sales and internal teams across multiple locations to resolve billing issues.

• Set up and maintain customer and branch accounts, including banking details.

• Support account cleanup and updates related to payment processing.

• Identify and support improvements to AR processes and workflows.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting function.

• Experience with U.S. invoicing and U.S. sales tax is required.

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.

• Experience with ERP/CRM systems; Dynamics AX, Business Central, or similar tools is an asset.

• Strong understanding of invoicing, payments, collections, and customer account maintenance.

• Ability to work independently and contribute to process improvements.

• Strong communication and customer service skills for internal and external stakeholders.
