We are building a talent pipeline for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support anticipated future hiring needs within our client network in Calgary, Alberta. This is not an active vacancy, but an opportunity to be considered for upcoming contract and permanent roles as they arise. This position is well suited to experienced AR professionals who are confident managing invoicing, collections, and customer account maintenance in fast-paced, multi-account environments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment posting, and account maintenance
• Apply incoming payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts on a regular basis
• Monitor outstanding balances and support collections activities in a professional and timely manner
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with internal teams and customers
• Maintain accurate customer account records, including updates to billing and payment information
• Support credit reviews and assist with credit limit assessments as required
• Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end reporting
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate billing across multiple accounts or locations
• Contribute to process improvements and support efficiency in receivables workflows

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting function
• Strong understanding of invoicing, payment processing, and collections processes
• Experience reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic data analysis)
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Dynamics, or similar) is an asset
• Strong communication skills with ability to handle customer interactions professionally
• High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
