Accounts Receivable Clerk

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue customer invoices while confirming that billing details are complete and accurate.
• Record incoming payments promptly and apply cash receipts to the correct customer accounts.
• Reconcile account balances by investigating discrepancies and resolving outstanding items.
• Follow up with clients regarding overdue balances and carry out collection activities with strong attention to detail.
• Maintain detailed receivables records in spreadsheets and internal systems to support reporting and audit readiness.
• Work with internal teams to address payment concerns, clarify billing questions, and support account resolution.
• Review aged receivables regularly and escalate high-risk or long-outstanding accounts when needed.
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar accounting support position.
• Strong working knowledge of account reconciliation, cash application, and collections processes.
• Ability to manage commercial collections professionally while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, analysis, and record maintenance.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing financial transactions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfort working with financial systems and adapting to updated processes when required.
