Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their team in Calgary, Alberta on a contract basis. This role focuses on business-to-business collections, credit analysis, and maintaining healthy customer accounts while supporting a high-volume receivables portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers by phone and email to collect outstanding balances and resolve payment issues.
• Monitor customer accounts, assess credit risk, and review payment trends.
• Process credit card payments and ensure remittance information is recorded accurately.
• Review new credit applications, complete credit checks, and support credit approval decisions.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts within the ERP system.
• Manage credit limits and account holds based on payment history and risk.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and improve collection outcomes.
• Assist with cash application, cheque deposits, and other accounts receivable activities.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and escalate complex issues as required. 

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of accounts receivable or credit experience, including high-volume B2B collections.
• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience reviewing commercial credit reports, including Equifax and Dun & Bradstreet.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage collections professionally.
• Ability to prioritize workload and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience within the construction or distribution industry is considered an asset.
