Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join a communications organization in Calgary, Alberta on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and collections experience who can support customer accounts, resolve payment issues, and maintain accurate receivables records in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Contact overdue customers through phone and written communication to secure payments
• Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies, deductions, and short payments
• Partner with internal teams to resolve billing and payment-related issues
• Monitor customer payment trends and assess credit risk exposure
• Manage credit hold processes and coordinate account releases when appropriate
• Review requests for revised payment terms and provide recommendations
• Investigate unapplied cash, credits, and outstanding payment items
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity and customer communication
• Provide updates on high-risk accounts and collection trends to management

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or related analysis roles
• Strong problem-solving and account reconciliation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with AR or CRM systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills
• Working knowledge of invoicing, payment processing, and collections procedures
