Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a real estate and property organization in Calgary, Alberta on a Contract basis. This role is ideal for an experienced AP professional who can work independently in a complex environment and brings strong Yardi knowledge and sound judgment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full AP cycle from invoice receipt and review through payment processing.
• Enter and process invoices in Yardi, ensuring supporting documentation is complete.
• Apply accurate coding across development, corporate, and property-related invoices.
• Process electronic payments and cheques as required.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances.
• Manually match invoices to work orders and supporting documentation.
• Support Yardi payment setup, implementation, and related process improvements.
• Prioritize invoices for active developments while maintaining accuracy across complex transactions.

Requirements

• Full-cycle AP experience in a detail-focused accounting environment.
• Strong Yardi experience, including invoice entry, coding, and payments.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Strong account coding and invoice processing skills.
• Clear vendor and internal communication skills.
• Experience with cheque runs and electronic payments.
• Real estate or property accounting experience is an asset.
