Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:
• Review, verify, and enter supplier invoices accurately while ensuring charges are coded to the appropriate accounts.
• Administer the full accounts payable cycle, including payment preparation, cheque processing, and timely disbursement to vendors.
• Reconcile payable records and related accounts to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial data.
• Prepare and process tax remittances for operations spanning multiple provinces in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to respond to payment inquiries and address outstanding issues efficiently.
• Use accounting and ERP systems, including platforms such as Great Plains, ADP Financial Services, and Concur, to support daily transaction processing.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure records are complete, current, and audit-ready.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting function.
• Demonstrated ability to process invoices, code expenses, and manage vendor payments with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience working with accounting software and ERP platforms in a fast-paced finance environment.
• Familiarity with tools such as Concur, ADP Financial Services, and Great Plains would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of reconciliations, cheque processing, and multi-jurisdictional tax remittance practices.
• Reliability clearance is mandatory for this position.
• Strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
