Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:
• Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and approval.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and execute check runs, ensuring compliance with payment schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and update the accounts payable ledger.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure invoices align with purchase orders and contracts.
• Perform data entry tasks with a high level of precision and attention to detail.
• Monitor and manage the accounts payable email inbox, addressing inquiries promptly.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including generating reports and reconciling accounts.
• Use SAP and Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
• Support audit preparation by organizing and providing necessary documentation.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using SAP and Microsoft Excel for financial tasks.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
• Familiarity with check runs and payment schedules.
• Knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures.
