Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a busy Oil & Gas organization in Calgary, Alberta, on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong AP experience who can manage high-volume invoice and expense processing, reduce backlogs, and maintain accurate and timely payments.

Responsibilities:

• Process high volumes of outstanding invoices and expenses to reduce AP backlogs.
• Review, code, and post invoices while following approval, PO, and three-way matching requirements.
• Validate Concur expense submissions, resolve discrepancies, and prepare items for posting.
• Process transactions through legacy and current payment platforms, including AI-supported invoice workflows.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate missing or unmatched documents.
• Assist with weekly cheque run preparation and payment documentation.
• Monitor the AP inbox and respond to invoice, payment, and vendor inquiries.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and ERP data.
• Collaborate with internal teams and support process improvements.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with invoice processing, coding, reconciliations, and vendor statements.
• Hands-on experience with Concur and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of three-way matching, payment workflows, and AP controls.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to identify inconsistencies and suggest process improvements.
