Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a busy finance team in Calgary, Alberta within the gas industry on a Long-term Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with high-volume invoice processing, and confident resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Validate vendor information, amounts, and currency.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and route non-PO invoices for coding and approval.
• Follow up with internal teams to resolve missing information and discrepancies.
• Prepare approved invoices for payment processing.
• Monitor shared AP inboxes and respond to inquiries.
• Identify duplicate invoices and support account cleanup.
• Maintain accurate data entry and organized AP records.
• Adapt to changing priorities and support day-to-day AP activities.

Requirements:

• Experience in accounts payable, invoice administration, or a similar finance support role.
• Oracle experience is an asset.
• Working knowledge of invoice coding, purchase order matching, and payment preparation.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing vendor information, amounts, and currencies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Clear communication skills with the confidence to follow up on incomplete information.
• Ability to manage high volumes and changing priorities.
• Experience with account reconciliations or payment runs is an asset.
