Accounts Payable Clerk

Responsibilities:
• Review incoming invoices for completeness and accuracy before submitting them for approval.
• Assign appropriate accounting codes to invoices and enter payment details into the system with a high level of precision.
• Process a steady weekly volume of invoices while maintaining organized and up-to-date records.
• Examine previous invoice activity and payment history to support accurate processing and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform data entry tasks related to accounts payable transactions in a timely and consistent manner.
• Assist with cheque run preparation and related payment processing activities as required.
• Reconcile payable information to help ensure vendor accounts and internal records remain accurate.
• Work with approvers and internal teams to follow up on outstanding items and keep invoice workflows moving efficiently.
• Previous experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or a similar finance support position.
• Strong accuracy in data entry and the ability to manage repetitive transactional work effectively.
• Practical experience coding invoices and reviewing supporting financial information.
• Familiarity with account reconciliation and cheque processing activities.
• Working knowledge of accounting or ERP systems such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Ability to review historical transaction details and identify inconsistencies or missing information.
• Comfortable working independently in a part-time schedule and managing priorities efficiently.
