We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a food and food processing organization in Langley, British Columbia. This in-office opportunity is a Contract position created to provide ongoing support to the accounts payable function during a contract coverage period. The successful candidate will contribute to accurate invoice handling, timely vendor communication, and dependable administrative support within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of supplier invoices and enter payment details with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.

• Compare purchase order information against supporting documents to confirm invoice details before processing, without assigning coding.

• Examine vendor statements regularly to identify discrepancies, outstanding items, or follow-up requirements.

• Respond to questions from vendors and store locations while providing clear updates and day-to-day accounts payable support.

• Assist multiple accounts payable teams as needed and adapt to shifting priorities based on workload demands.

• Maintain complete and organized records in the accounts payable system to support efficient tracking and reconciliation.

• Work closely with supervisors, team leads, and colleagues during onboarding and ongoing training to learn established procedures.

• Use PeopleSoft, Outlook, Teams, and Excel to manage transactions, communication, and reporting tasks effectively.

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or a similar data entry-focused finance role.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to review financial information carefully and consistently.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors, store contacts, and internal team members.

• Hands-on experience with data entry in a fast-paced administrative or accounting environment.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and basic Excel functions.

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft or other enterprise accounting systems is considered an asset.
