Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support a busy finance team in Calgary, Alberta within the Oil & Gas industry. This long-term contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and can support invoice processing, vendor inquiries, and AP operations with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Enter high volumes of supplier invoices and expense records into the ERP system
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries and help resolve outstanding issues
• Review vendor statements and monitor open items for payment tracking
• Work closely with purchasing, operations, engineering, and field teams to support AP processes
• Maintain and update vendor records and supplier information
• Verify vendor documentation and support master data maintenance
• Assist with AP process improvements and workflow efficiencies
• Participate in team discussions and support colleagues during high-volume periods
• Help manage increased invoice volumes during ERP-related operational changes

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong data entry speed and accuracy
• Experience using ERP systems such as J.D. Edwards or similar platforms
• Basic Excel skills for tracking and reviewing AP information
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of invoice processing procedures
• Clear communication skills with vendors and internal teams
• Experience maintaining vendor or supplier master data is an asset
