Overview

Our client, a growing North American organization in the resources and infrastructure sector, is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Finance team. The Role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will support day-to-day AP functions while working closely with teams across Canada and the U.S. This role also offers exposure to broader accounting processes and ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and approvals

• Respond to AP inquiries and liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies

• Reconcile employee expenses and corporate credit cards (Concur)

• Assist with vendor setup and maintenance of vendor master data

• Support internal and external audits with proper documentation

• Assist with monthly and year-end reporting

• Review invoices for applicable taxes across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions

• Provide general support to the AP team and assist with ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field preferred

• 2+ year of accounts payable experience

• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP/Concur experience considered an asset)

• Strong Excel and MS Office skills

• High attention to detail with the ability to manage volume and timelines

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Team-oriented with a proactive and adaptable mindset

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $55,000–$60,000 + bonus

• Comprehensive benefits package including extended health, RRSP match, and paid vacation
