Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting function and oversee a team of accounting professionals.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, this position is responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, month-end and year-end activities, audit coordination, budgeting support, and the ongoing development of accounting processes and systems.

This role offers a unique blend of hands-on accounting, leadership responsibility, and business partnership within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting systems
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and reporting efficiencies
• Assist with ERP optimization and systems enhancements
• Partner with operational and business leaders to support organizational objectives

• CPA designation preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Previous leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting expertise
• Experience overseeing the full accounting cycle
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Manufacturing experience considered an asset
• Strong understanding of internal controls and audit processes
