Our client is looking for an detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. This role supports core accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll, payables, and budgeting activities. The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with strong accounting expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to accuracy and process excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial activities.
• Lead month-end close processes, including reconciliations, account analysis, and financial review.
• Manage accounts payable and payroll-related accounting activities while maintaining strong controls.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decisions and planning.
• Support budgeting, performance tracking, and variance analysis.
• Administer and optimize accounting and ERP systems to improve financial workflows.
• Review processes and controls to drive efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on finance, process improvement, and system initiatives.

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including leadership in a manager-level or senior finance role.
• Strong experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and tools such as ADP, BlackLine, and Concur.
• Expertise in accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting budgeting, financial analysis, and performance management.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
