Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Oxford County, ON

Work Model: Onsite; (1 day remote after initial training)

Duration: 2 – 3 months 

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead full-cycle accounting in a project focused environment. Reporting to the finance leader, this role is responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, financial reporting through the P& L, and oversight of a small accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial reporting through the P& L
• Support IFRS revenue recognition, including percentage of completion and time-and-material accounting
• Oversee accounting across legal entities and business units
• Supervise AP, AR, and a part-time accountant
• Work within Great Plains and use Excel for reporting and analysis

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent accounting designation preferred; comparable experience and qualifications will also be considered
• Experience in an Accounting Supervisor, Accounting Manager, or Controller-level role
• Strong full-cycle accounting knowledge
• Construction or project-based accounting experience preferred
• Experience with IFRS revenue recognition and POC accounting
• Great Plains experience strongly preferred
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
