We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client on a four-month contract to support a special project, based in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting payroll operations. Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly full-cycle accounting process, including consolidations, reconciliations, and journal entries for multiple business locations.
• Review and guide the work performed by the accounting analyst.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, including GST filings and corporate tax remittances.
• Support the closure of legacy accounts and transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with the Controller to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Assist with payroll operations for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to perform financial analysis and reporting tasks.
• Work with Acumatica or similar accounting software to manage financial data effectively.
• Maintain attention to detail while handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Communicate financial insights and updates clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• CPA designation or equivalent certification.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Acumatica or similar accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience in full-cycle accounting and payroll processes.
• Understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
