We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join a real estate and property organization in Vancouver, British Columbia. This position plays a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, overseeing cash flow activities, and supporting tax, budgeting, and compliance obligations across a portfolio of entities and properties. The successful candidate will work closely with finance leadership to strengthen reporting processes, maintain strong internal controls, and contribute to operational and strategic finance initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements while maintaining timely weekly cash flow reporting for corporate operations.
• Contribute to the budgeting cycle by monitoring overhead costs, analyzing budget-to-actual results, and preparing operating and asset management reports.
• Complete corporate tax filings and supporting working papers, and coordinate the setup of tax accounts for newly created entities.
• Support tax planning activities by preparing multi-year projections, quarterly forecast updates, and continuity schedules for tax loss carryforwards.
• Develop reporting for investors and asset management stakeholders, including financial updates related to rental properties and real estate holdings.
• Oversee annual reporting requirements for lenders and other external parties, and prepare property-related tax submissions such as Empty Homes Tax and Speculation and Vacancy Tax filings.
• Assist with finance-related administrative initiatives, including insurance renewals, entity reorganizations, windups, dissolutions, and amalgamations.
• Partner with the VP of Finance to enhance procedures, reinforce internal controls, support compliance efforts, and deliver special projects as needed.
• Demonstrated experience in an accounting leadership or supervisory capacity, ideally within real estate, property management, or a related industry.
• Strong ability to prepare financial statements, manage cash flow reporting, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Hands-on knowledge of corporate tax compliance, tax working papers, and financial forecasting processes.
• Familiarity with investor reporting, asset management reporting, and property-related compliance filings.
• Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, with experience using tools such as BlackLine, Concur, ADP, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of core accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll oversight, and financial review processes.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain accuracy, and support process improvements.
