Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk for a well-established and highly respected downtown Edmonton professional services firm.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of a close-knit team and play a key role in supporting the law firm's accounting operations, with a strong focus on legal trust accounting, banking activities, and day-to-day financial administration.

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Processing trust transactions, trust transfers, and trust cheques
• Trust accounting compliance and financial reporting requirements
• Monitoring bank accounts, deposits, and financial transactions
• Posting disbursements and credit card receipts
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting file administration
• Supporting the accounting team with a variety of administrative and financial duties

• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, financial administration, banking, or a related role
• Experience working with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, deposits, and general accounting functions
• Exposure to trust accounting, legal accounting, or regulated accounting environments is considered a strong asset
• Knowledge of Alberta trust accounting procedures or Law Society requirements is a strong asset
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn
