We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a busy finance team in Ontario on a contract with permanent potential. This role supports high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, with a strong focus on invoice processing, payment matching, and account reconciliation. The successful candidate will bring accuracy, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner to support daily accounts payable operations.

• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items, with concentrated reconciliation work during peak periods of the month.

• Match incoming remittance details to payments received in SAP and clear corresponding customer invoices within the system.

• Review payment activity each day, identify discrepancies between remittances and amounts received, and follow up to resolve exceptions.

• Support accounts receivable administration by applying cash receipts and maintaining accurate customer account records.

• Conduct vendor account research and perform detailed lookups to verify balances, transactions, and supporting information.

• Manage recurring daily payment volumes while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting processing deadlines.

• Assist the finance team with overflow accounting support driven by increased workload and seasonal business demands.
