Responsibilities:
• Prepare and support the completion of financial statements, ensuring records are accurate and aligned with reporting requirements.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including invoice processing, accounts payable support, and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform property accounting tasks using Yardi and keep related financial information current and organized.
• Administer payroll for a small employee group through the QuickBooks payroll module, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items to maintain reliable financial data.
• Assist with month-end activities by compiling supporting documentation and helping close accounting periods efficiently.
• Maintain organized accounting records and support internal stakeholders with financial information as needed.
• Experience working in an accounting role with responsibility for core financial operations and reporting support.
• Practical knowledge of accounting software systems and confidence using digital tools to manage daily transactions.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, invoice processing, and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Yardi for property accounting functions is required.
• Experience processing payroll in QuickBooks, ideally for a small employee population.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive financial information with accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a Contract position and quickly adapt to an established finance environment.
