Our client in Edmonton is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant for a long-term contract. This role supports key accounting functions, including accounts payable, expense processing, reconciliations, and compliance tracking to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile vendor invoices and purchase orders
• Manage employee and credit card expense claims
• Track utility consumption (gas, power, solar)
• Maintain tenant certifications and rentable item records
• Support A/P and A/R coverage as needed
• Prepare journal entries, payment runs, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations 

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
• 3+ years of accounting experience (property management preferred)
• Experience with Yardi Voyager and accounting/ERP systems
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes
• Knowledge of A/P and A/R processes
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
