Accountant - Entry Level

Responsibilities:
• Examine historical financial files, sort records logically, and keep documentation organized for easy reference.
• Assign transactions and supporting documents to the appropriate accounting categories and general ledger groupings.
• Separate non-accounting materials from finance records to improve filing accuracy and document control.
• Compile information from different sources, identify gaps or duplicates, and flag inconsistencies for follow-up.
• Carry out basic account and bank reconciliations to confirm that financial information is complete and accurate.
• Organize and process paper-based invoices in accordance with direction from the Accounting Manager.
• Prepare supporting schedules and well-structured documentation for reporting and internal review purposes.
• Contribute to month-end close activities and provide additional day-to-day accounting support as needed.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in an entry-level accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting support role.
• Practical understanding of foundational accounting concepts, financial records, and general ledger structure.
• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, account coding, and related accounting functions.
• Ability to review large volumes of documentation carefully while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Comfortable using Excel, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office applications in a workplace setting.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while following established instructions.
