A well‑established and nationally recognized food distribution company is seeking an Account Manager to join its entrepreneurial sales team. This role focuses on managing and growing relationships within a defined customer portfolio while identifying new business opportunities in a fast‑paced, market‑driven environment.
Reporting to a senior sales leader, the Account Manager will act as a trusted partner to customers—overseeing day‑to‑day account needs, negotiating pricing based on real‑time market conditions, and driving sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
- Develop annual sales plans and quarterly forecasts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through structured prospecting
- Negotiate pricing with strong awareness of market supply, demand, and margins
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen long‑term relationships
- Collaborate with internal sales partners to cross‑sell product offerings
- Step in to support team accounts as needed during absences
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of sales or account management experience (food, produce, or wholesale preferred)
- Strong negotiation, relationship‑building, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment
- Comfort navigating pricing discussions and market fluctuations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Post‑secondary education or equivalent practical experience
- Second language considered an asset
