Our start up SaaS client is looking for an Account Executive to help grow their customer base by building strong relationships and guiding prospective clients through the buying process. This is a full-time/permanent role based in Ottawa.

Responsibilities:
• Generate new business opportunities by researching target organizations, initiating outreach, and advancing sales prospects through each stage of the sales cycle.
• Lead tailored software presentations, both virtually and in person, to demonstrate how the platform addresses specific operational and business needs.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline by recording client activity, monitoring deal progress, and preparing accurate revenue forecasts using CRM platforms.
• Manage commercial discussions by preparing proposals, addressing pricing considerations, and securing signed agreements that support sales objectives.
• Build lasting connections with prospective clients by learning their priorities and serving as a consistent point of contact through onboarding.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product, and customer success to align customer feedback, product positioning, and account growth strategies.
• Identify opportunities within existing accounts to expand service adoption through additional features, licenses, or complementary offerings.
Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience in account management, account executive, or software sales roles preferably in a start up.
• Demonstrated success selling SaaS solutions and managing client relationships in a business-to-business environment.
• Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and sales pipeline management practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
• Experience supporting customers with accounting software or financial services-related solutions is considered an asset.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to manage contracts and pricing discussions professionally.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive customer experience.
