Description
The incumbent is responsible for organizing and monitoring work flow, and for supervising production staff.
• Attend the management production DMS for planning of job priorities, operators & equipment
• Perform Operator DMS to assign jobs according to the priority list, discuss issues & any other relevant information
• Work closely with the foreman and plant manager to plan priorities, solve issues and make necessary adjustments that affect production
• Ensure priorities are met & production due dates are respected
• Working with other supervisors to ensure planning & production is realized
• Working with management and supervisor to ensure availability of resources across departments when needed
• Transfer of information from day shift to night shift Communicating job expectations to operators. Monitoring operator performance and problem solving.
• Encourage operators production issues prevent job expectations from being met
• Resolving production issues and working with senior management to resolve complex problems
• Suggesting production improvements and requesting M.P.S. / Program changes
• Ensuring production administration updates (e.g.: tool lists / programs)
• Ensuring the maintenance & proper use of equipment
• Ensuring availability and suitability of tools and machines for production
• Purchasing of cutting tools, re-sharpening of old tools and servicing of equipment
• Participating in hiring new operators and team leaders
• In conjunction with the management team perform operator reviews and disciplining of operators
• Coordinating training & integration of new employees
• Working with the training team to train employees and implement training program
• Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are maintained on the production floor including PPE
• Performing other related duties as needed

Requirements
- Important - College diploma – mechanical manufacturing or Machining Tech. Program
- Important - Excellent Knowledge of programming Mastercam Software is required
- Important - Minimum 2 years’ experience of supervising staff in the aerospace and/or commercial industries
- Important - Any pertinent combination of education and experience can be considered
- Important - Proficient with Computer (MS Office, email, Internet) • Bilingual (French and English)
