Our professional services client in the downtown core is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to join their outstanding team. This role requires you to be onsite 5 days per week. This role reports directly into the President/CEO and has 5 direct reports.

 

Snapshot of the Role:

The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, will act as a fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for both internal and external clients where engaged to provide such services, and will be required to certify the annual and quarterly financial statements and MD& A. The Senior Manager Financial Reporting will also assist on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, job costing, forecasting needs and securing of new clients. This role operates within a dynamic environment, catering to clients with diverse reporting schedules. It offers an exceptional opportunity for broad exposure across various industries and clientele.


 Your Key Qualifications:

o   University Degree. 

o   CPA Designation (from a Big 6 accounting firm).

o   A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in public accounting and reporting, gained either within a public accounting firm or a publicly listed company.

o   A robust audit background is essential, complemented by extensive expertise in IFRS reporting and regulatory compliance.

o   Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, especially in the public sector and involvement in the drafting of Management’s Discussion and Analysis.

o   Proven track record of effectively leading and mentoring finance teams to achieve outstanding results.

o   Detail oriented, deadline oriented, time sensitive with respect to regulatory filings.

o   Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communications, with experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.

o   Excellent technical skills.
