As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of various projects within our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with project managers, department heads, and finance team members to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and analysis of project costs and budgets.




Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Financial Management: Manage the financial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring project costs.
2. Cost Analysis: Analyze project costs and variances, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop project budgets in collaboration with project managers and department heads. Prepare accurate financial forecasts to support project planning and decision-making.
4. Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for project stakeholders, including project managers, senior management, and external partners.
5. Billing and Invoicing: Ensure accurate and timely billing of project expenses to clients. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed.
6. Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Assist with internal and external audits as necessary.
7. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project accounting procedures.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and other stakeholders to resolve financial issues and support project success.
9. Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.



Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation or in progress is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in project accounting or cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with project management software is a plus.

- Demonstrated knowledge of Billing Functions

- Billing experience preferred

- Experience with data entry

- Adeptness in Invoice Processing

- Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Solid understanding of account reconciliation

- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

- Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

- 3+ years of accounting experience required
