We are currently looking for a Key Account Lead to lead the management of a portfolio of brand(s) at Target, USA. You will report to the VP of Sales, US. If you are an entrepreneurial self-starter with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, an empathetic listener, and someone who excels at identifying opportunities, prioritizing initiatives and driving results for your brand(s) in a fast-paced team environment then this position could be a great fit for you!
Your role…
Lead and maximize profitable sales growth and execution for your brand(s) at Target, USA with P&L responsibility as it relates to:
Assortment Planning
• Work with your planning partner to analyze sales performance data and identify performance
trends across items, themes, price points and other applicable variables to identify, summarize
and execute opportunities
• Leverage information and new product development pipeline to develop the most optimized new
assortment recommendation for future season transitions while aligning with Target’s goals
• Identify gaps and provide recommendations for future product development
Pricing
• Lead item pricing reviews while monitoring on-going cost changes to ensure we are always priced-
right for all stakeholders (the Target guest, Target and Battat) vs. the competition
• Conduct blended margin analysis and be accountable to meeting client and internal profitability
targets for your portfolio
• In partnership with planning, analyze the most effective promotions and develop pre and in-
season promotion recommendations (GMROI, ROAS etc.)
Presentation
• Create optimized planograms based on presentation theory and guidelines for instore in-line
merchandising and other instore opportunities/initiatives
Marketing
• Lead recommendations and brief creation for SEO and Target’s media initiatives
In-Season Management, Issue Resolution and Administration
• Responsible for end-to end communication with Target’s team for any updates, issues and other
customer management tasks
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly Target Buyer meetings
• Lead ad-hoc issue management and resolution as needed
• In partnership with planning team – provide weekly insights and recommendations based on sales
performance
• Prepare for new season transitions with product development tracking
• Prepare and submit for approval: item and line review presentations, quote sheets on customer
specific format and requirements by retail customer
• Provide administrative support in relation to processing customer inquiries, sales planning and
sales orders
• Arrange and provide samples of various products to retail customer teams in a timely and efficient
manner
• Represent the company at marketing events such as trade shows
• Assist in other administrative tasks as required
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives internally to improve operation efficiency over time
What we’re looking for…
• Understanding of sales and/or retail operations; P&L management knowledge a plus
• A post-secondary degree in a related field
• Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
• Native fluency in English as you will be working with a large US account
• Exceptional organizational & administrative skills
• Critical Thinking and Problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership
• Able to multitask effectively and manage priorities
• Attention to detail while maintaining sight of the “big picture”
• Ability to work as part of a dynamic team and adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Some travel required (10%) when circumstances will permit
Experience:
• 3-5 Years in Sales, retail operations, retail planning, retail supply chain or other relevant
experience.
