Reporting to the Intellectual Property Engineer, your main duties will be to :

Participate in the evaluation of new concepts to identify potential innovations
Conduct prior art searches
Participate in the drafting of patent applications
Coordinate the monitoring of new patents with engineering teams
Analyze existing patents
Participate in the evaluation of potential issues of encroachment on third-party intellectual property rights by products offered by Soucy
Profile
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR  
Academic or professional experience in mechanical engineering
Bachelor's or technical degree in engineering (an asset)
Experience with patents (asset)
Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience
Bilingualism (French and English) for searching, drafting and translating patent-related documents
Interest in product development and/or research and development (R&D) (an asset)
Interest in artificial intelligence and/or robotics (asset)
Minutia, patience and ability to maintain concentration over long periods of time
Organizational skills and ability to manage documentation in a structured manner
Self-reliance and resourcefulness
