Our client, a dynamic company located in Montreal, is looking for an Audit Director to join its team.
In this newly created permanent position reporting to the VP Finance, you will be responsible for:
- Support management in establishing streamlined processes and be a supportive link for operations to understand corporate and legal requirements, as well as the risks associated with operations and the strategies and tactics being implemented to mitigate such risks
- Successfully develop, execute and manage internal audit plans and risk assessments
- Manage the assessment of key business risks and the adequacy of processes by which risks are evaluated, prioritized, and mitigated
- Successfully plan, execute, report and manage audits, including risk assessment, identification of findings and provision of insightful and value-added recommendations
- Review and report on compliance with internal control policies
- Ensure consistency with accounting policies
- Liaise with external auditors
Requirements:
- Professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
- At least 10 years experience in audit (external or internal)
- Strong analytical skills
- Dynamism, sense of responsibility and high-energy personality
