Our expectations:
Reporting to the Operational Efficiency Supervisor, and partnering with various departments, the Opeational Efficiency Analyst is responsible for creating the Distribution Center long-range plan, including understanding the risks related to the capacity of the building and recommending a labour plan to support projected volume. The Operational Efficiency Analyst is also responsible for developing the short-range direction that will enable us to execute the standards set by our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
*Location: Boucherville Distribution Center
Your role:
Create short-term inbound and outbound projections/reports utilizing historical and supply- chain data
Create labour and building utilization forecasts by analyzing historical data and sales forecasts
Partner with Operations to efficiently maximize building capacity by providing inbound/outbound forecasting, analyzing inventory levels and/or needs for external storage
Using supply-chain reports, model the labour plan by period and quarter
Partner with Operations to forecast hiring needs
Analyze forecast accuracy to provide input on misses and inaccuracies
Produce consolidated regional weekly operational metrics
Create ad-hoc reports
Collaborate with Continuous Improvement by providing and analyzing data to support the integration of improvement opportunities
Support optimal product flow (vendor solutions): vendor scorecards, master data, refining minimum order quantities
Partner with Supply Chain, Master Data Management, Merchandising, and Operations to ensure data integrity across systems
The qualifications we are looking for:
2-4 years of experience in a supply-chain-analyst role
Post-secondary education in supply-chain management, business, or equivalent experience
Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) (a strong asset)
Experience with Distribution Center operations (mandatory)
Experience with SQL Server (an asset)
Advanced knowledge of software applications, including Excel and Access (mandatory)
Inventory experience within a distribution environment (an asset)
Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and creatively resolve complex problems
Successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously while still being details-oriented
Customer service mindset
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
