DESCRIPTION

Our client uses the power of information at all times to make informed decisions. They depend on technology for almost every aspect of their business, which is why they invest nearly $ 100 million annually in IT projects and infrastructure.

Under direction of the Director of Business Management Services (BMS), the Sr. Manager has the mandate to align closely with enterprise architecture practices and processes to produce sustainable solutions and translate vision into technology architecture design, postures, roadmaps, and/or direction for use by the technical delivery teams.

The Sr. Manager must drive the overall architectural design of the portfolio of technology, infrastructure, telecom and security initiatives, enabling the coexistence and integration of new solutions with existing systems. All the while ensuring operationally viable / scalable infrastructure, network, security, and technology solutions.

The candidate must be able to understand business needs, build trust with business stakeholders and facilitate discussions with all I&T groups. The team will be composed of internal and external technology / telecom architects specialized in core technology domains.

Technology & Security Domain Architecture:

Domain Architects (DA) must ensure the timely and sound delivery of technological solutions to a production-ready state in close collaboration with the Technology Solution Integration, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders.

The function must build the technological enterprise capabilities to deliver initiatives with flexibility, speed, and effectiveness; design and deliver malleable solutions that can evolve with business needs and technology advancements. In addition, DAs enable integration across multiple platforms through sound technical design and bring an integrated view of system design to enhance understanding and perspective on how to incorporate technologies and capabilities into existing solutions, or build entirely new solutions based on new technologies

Salary : 125 000-145 000$ + 20% bonus



RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct a group of senior technical architects, and teams in the use of best practices and established reference architectures, methodologies and processes.

Provide technical leadership and build deep relationships with Enterprise Architecture, Technology Architecture, Integration, and operations teams.

Expected to drive technology roadmap,solutions, product specifications, and operational processes.

Link technology with measurable business value.

Mature integration practices and evolve an effective integration framework and portfolio that includes effective configuration management, fosters reuse / self-service, and allows for more responsiveness and agility to incoming demand.

Mentor, influence, and evangelize changes upon the introduction of new technology, and services.

Responsible for managing talent, and leveraging outside resources as required.

Responsible for working effectively with project managers, and the senior management team to realize business opportunities through the development of technical solutions, and clear communication of options with related trade-offs.

Actively participate and provide leadership in the direction of technology strategy.

Participate in strategic, project, and budget planning efforts.

Manage and advance vendor relationships and solutions.

Lower cost, improve quality, and accelerate integration development through process and technology automation practices.

Stay abreast of industry trends and proactively identify areas for growth, improvement, and development of enterprise integration capabilities, both internally and externally.


SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent;

Ten (10) plus years of experience in technology architecture and minimum three (3) years in technology domain architecture;

Advanced knowledge of architecture, application development, application systems design and integration;

Proven technology roadmap and delivery experience in emerging technologies;

Proven leadership ability to drive and facilitate transformation in a large and complex global organization, including the ability to influence decision-making and facilitate teams with multiple stakeholders at all levels in the organization;

Knowledge of change management discipline and best practices;

Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies including Iterative Waterfall, DevOps and Agile, as well as non-project management processes in function areas of governance including legal, compliance, etc.

Excellent understanding of technology concepts of the future;

Advanced critical thinking and demonstrated analytical skills to support executive management decision-making;

Excellent oral, written and presentation skills;

Bilingual (English, French).
