    DESCRIPTION



    RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:

    * Provide leadership and coaching for Team Members to ensure every customer receives superb customer service
    * Establish and communicate sales objectives and expectations to all Team Members
    * Organize employee training, development and performance reviews
    * Build strong and lasting relationships with our retail, professional and commercial customers
    * Ensure employees and customers are aware of current promotions and financing options (RONA Advantage Card/Air Miles)
    * Lead the sales team by example and assist team members where needed
    * Opening and closing duties in absence of Store manager or Assistant Store Manager
    * Supervise work according to set priorities and company requirements;
    * Determine work schedule while complying to the established labour budget and ensuring that customer needs are met appropriately;
    * Resolve any issue that may arise while ensuring customer satisfaction;
    * Carry out merchandising duties in accordance with the Store Manager;
    * Implement and supervise the department replenishing process and ensure follow-up;
    * Manage promotional activities according to sales and in order to meet or exceed the department objectives;
    * Meet suppliers during store visits.
    * Participate in the recruitment process;
    * Train, guide, encourage and motivate the employees;
    * Advise employees regarding work performance on an ongoing basis and apply corrective measures if required;
    * Participate in performance evaluation process and ensure follow-up;
    * Comply with policies and procedures regarding loss prevention, breakage of goods and health and safety;


    QUALIFICATIONS:


    * Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role.
    * Proven leadership capabilities and commitment to managing the performance of others
    * Ability to motivate, train and coach others to a higher level of success and accountability
    * Exhibits a sense of urgency with creative problem solving; research and analyze causes, provide an innovative approach to solutions
    * Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently respond to employee’s requests, build relationships and resolve conflicts
    * Computer literate, able to learn new software and processes
    * Mature, responsible with sound decision making skills
    * Approachable, able to coach other team members and assist in closing sales
    * Retail, sales or customer service experience is a great asset
    * Construction or home renovation is an asset
