Lean Manager, Canada

General description:
Reporting directly to the VP Operations, this newly created position is a key role in the development and delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within dormakaba Canada. It will help fostering a culture of sustainable change through the creation and application of LEAN methodologies, and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation.

• Teaches, trains and guides team members working on lean processes.
• Uses "train-the-trainer" methodology for training all levels of the organization on Lean concepts, tools and methodologies.
• Develops and maintains Lean training material and curriculum to enable continued development of internal capability in application of these materials.
• Multi-tasks on various projects and supports items while using exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible for multiple initiatives, consistently implementing Lean practices including event facilitation, workshop facilitation, coaching, training, process documentation and analysis.
• Works with the entire value stream to explore opportunities, understand current state and implement future state vision.
• Leads and facilitates Kaizen and other Lean events. Leads efforts to reduce and/or eliminate waste and improve processes.
• Through the development of people's skills and abilities, embeds Lean and Lean tools inside the organization as people's way of working.
• Builds alignment and communication plans. Communicates Lean initiatives throughout the organization to interested parties.
• Helps define and promote the company's Lean vision, methodology, practices to enhance our Lean journey with a structured, disciplined approach to work with exceptional attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
• 7 years of operational and lean manufacturing management experience
• Lean Master and / or Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification
• Experience in project management
• Qualified Trainer is a definite asset
• Solid communication and influential skills
• Ability to rally people around and create adherence and enthusiasm for the Lean approach
• Team player able to work at different levels in the organization
• Strong organization and coordination skills
• Bilingual
• Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, reference verification and background check
• Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization
