WestGroupe is a growing company in the optical industry that has been doing business in Canada for over 50 years and has recently been expanding in the United States and internationally. We are an independent wholesale company looking to expand our home office team with passionate and dynamic individuals who are ready to launch their careers.

Our USA Customer Service department is looking to add a member to our team to assist in all areas of the department. One of the primary tasks in this position will be to learn how incoming orders are processed, working closely with our Inside Sales Support team to make sure all orders from the sales team are processed on time. This person in this position will also be assisting our Credits department to maintain a credit schedule and ensure our customers receive their credits on time. This task will involve coordinating with our Returns department located in our USA warehouse in Plattsburgh, NY, where the frames are received and prepared for credit. In addition, this will also involve investigating credit inquiries and resolving issues specific to the credits department.

As this is a position in our Customer Service department, the role also involves taking incoming calls from both our Canadian and USA customers when needed. This is an essential part of the position, as learning the ins and outs of how to best assist our customers is the best way to understand our company culture and values.

We are looking for a well-organized individual, who can multi-task and prioritize; someone with the ability to follow instructions and work under pressure without becoming easily overwhelmed.

The shift for this position is from 9:30am-6:00pm.

Main responsibilities:
• Assist the Inside Sales Support Team with incoming sales orders from the Sales team.
• Assist the Credits department with customer credits and help maintain the weekly credit schedule.
• Resolve issues that are specific to the credits department; missing invoices, receiving frames without paperwork, contacting the sales rep or contacting the customer.
• Provide full customer service to ensure customer satisfaction before, during and after any sales transaction. This includes taking orders by phone and being able to answer questions asked by customers and/or sales team.
• Assist with general administration within the department.

Qualifications & Skills:
• High school diploma, any post secondary education is an asset.
• Customer service experience.
• Advanced English.
• Intermediate French.
• Experience working in sales and/or credits is an asset.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task.
• Able to work independently within a team environment.
• At ease with learning new computer programs.
