DESCRIPTION

Oceanfood Sales Ltd is a National Seafood Company with six branches across Canada. Oceanfood Sales Ltd. is a supplier of frozen branded seafood products for retail and foodservice customers. We are a Canadian owned and operated company of 45 years.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced full time Food Service Key Account Representative who will be responsible for increasing the company market share in Montreal and working closely with our Key Account Manager in Quebec . Primary responsibility will be to deliver Sales results through innovative head office initiatives with our Food Service customers and working with independent and multi-unit operators. Initiatives will incorporate Brand specific marketing plans as well as account specific promotional activities with emphasis on profitability and long term strategic planning. The individual will act as a conduit between Head Office level, Procurement/Marketing and Sales Management.

Essential Functions:
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills and fact based selling skills.
• Lead all customer facing activities for assigned businesses with goal of delivering net sales, market share and profit goals within authorized trade spend.
• Initiative and strategic planning to ensure daily activities meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators.
• Daily sales calls with independent and multi-unit Operators to increase market share.

Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) years account experience in food service sales or related industry, seafood knowledge is an asset. Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred, proficiency with MS Office required.

• Develop strong long-term relationships with key trade personnel.
• Execute timely presentation of all existing opportunities and new Oceanfood Sales products
• Ability to trouble- shoot problems and bring forward recommendations for solution.
• Formal negotiation training would be an asset.
• Strong forecasting skills and ability to provide relevant insight into production planning in order to meet customer service expectations.
• Effective communication of all programs including - ads, new products, customer specific marketing vehicles etc., to relevant internal departments.
• Assist in Customer Trade Shows which may include set up, tear down and/or working the Show.
• Valid Driver’s License.
