DESCRIPTION

Working with the Sr. Mgr. Project Installation Services, the Software Solutions Technical Specialist is responsible for the implementation of software systems, and the training of the client either remotely, or at the client property. {hospitality / Multi Housing]. Is also responsible for the training of the Field Resource [train the trainer] and supporting them remotely when they are handling deployments at the client site.

Accountabilities:
• Support the definition, development, installation, and testing of software systems / applications
• Conduct remote installation of software, and end user training when required.
• Support the “installer hotline” with questions that may come up during installations.
• Contribute to accuracy of technical product training, training guides/material.
• Engage with Engineering if required to test and reproduce reported issues.
• Properly document all interaction with customers in Axapta.
• Follow up on escalations assigned until closed, or redirected to the right group to close.
• Travel to client sites when required, to repair/replace, or provide training on our products.
• All other tasks related to the position or requested by supervisor.

Requirements:
• College degree in Computer Engineering/Science
• Information Technology experience with the following systems (certifications are not necessary):
• Microsoft Server/Client Operating Systems
• Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Microsoft Active Directory / LDAP
• Microsoft Networking Fundamentals
• Proficiency in MS Office and other PC applications.
• Fluent in English, and additional languages are considered an asset
• Strong customer orientation with 2 yrs experience in Customer Service / Technical Support / Help Desk
• Good communicator, and knows how to keep a training session live and interesting.
• Problem solving ability along with excellent communication skills and diplomacy.
• Mature, and responsible enough to perform duties/task without supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop organized plans and successfully implement them.
• Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, reference verification and the background check
• Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization
