      The User Experience Specialist assesses needs and creates digital prototypes that translate complex visions and functionalities into simple, streamlined, beautiful, elegant and intuitive designs that emphasize visual impact and minimize effort for users and clients of BDC digital platforms.
    - Collect, analyze and interpret the needs and behaviours of users of BDC digital platforms through tools such as usability tests, interviews, A/B tests, card sorting, Treejack, business requirements documentation, analytics platforms (web analytics, marketing automation, CRM and CMS) and personas;
    - Create rich user journeys through deliverables such as storyboards, use cases, scenarios, wireframes, standards specifications and prototypes for different platforms and devices in a quick, iterative fashion;
    - Act as a BDC expert on the usability of interfaces for all digital disciplines, channels and platforms, such as email templates, e-newsletters, PDF publications, complex portals, simple microsites, forms, navigation, communities, mobile applications and web applications. This expertise also extends to issues related to responsive design, accessibility, and information architecture and taxonomy;
    - Propose innovative and high-quality graphic designs and experiences aligned with branding guidelines and supporting business goals, while working closely with graphic designers and the branding team, and keeping abreast of graphic design trends and best practices;
    - Manage client relations in the design phase of a project and present top-level recommendations to clients and target users;
    - Coordinate the work of external consultants or suppliers engaged in design activities;
    - Ensure that digital design tools and practices remain relevant by keeping abreast of best practices and evolving technologies, assessing their relevance within the BDC context and making recommendations for improvements;
    - Collaborate with visual designers, developers, product owners, marketing experts and content managers to define the product experience and champion users;
    - Envision and craft innovative experiences for users of BDC’s mobile websites.


    - Studies in human-computer interaction, graphic design or web design;
    - University studies in marketing, communications or commerce (or equivalent) an asset;
    - At least 8 years of experience in designing highly interactive user interfaces;
    - Work experience with a content management system an asset;
    - Solid understanding of user-centred designed processes, sketching, user journeys, wireframing, design patterns, prototyping and usability testing;
    - Demonstrated ability to be proactive, anticipate needs and balance priorities;
    - Strong presentation skills and ability to persuade others;
    - Excellent planning and organizational skills;
    - A solid record as a team player with an ability to adapt;
    - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process;
    - Proficiency in UI/interactive prototyping tools, such as Axure, Sketch;
    - Excellent visual design skills and a sensitivity to user-system interaction;
    - Up-to-date knowledge of the latest UX trends, techniques, and technologies covering usability and graphic design;
    - Experience with transactional interfaces an asset;
    - HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge an asset.
