    The Self-Service Business Intelligence specialist is responsible for designing, implementing and ensuring the development of self-service business intelligence practice.  He or she will coordinate with the Information Technology team members to create the data storage facilities to support the exploration needs of BDC’s lines of business. He or she will coordinate the identification, implementation, and usage of software solutions designed to manipulate data.
    - Analyze the needs of the different lines of business and identify the self-service opportunities.
    - Support the business units in the implementation of the required internal and external data records and their operationalization.
    - Coordinate and support all the people involved, both on the business side and in IT.
    - Coach the members of the business units in how to use self-service, by developing and facilitating training sessions, or by creating guides, modules and demonstrations.
    - Stimulate the user-community to create synergy in the practice and encourage sharing of expressions of needs and solutions.
    - Serve as an expert in the field of self-service business intelligence solutions.
    - Measure the usage rates to be able to identify opportunities for improvement.
    - Keep up to date on trends and innovations in the business intelligence industry in order to identify the most relevant software solutions. As needed, experiment with these solutions and make recommendations.  

    - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent.
    - Minimum 7 to 9 years of experience in information technology, including at least 5 to 7 years of pertinent experience with business intelligence solutions (BI).
    - An ability to identify and understand the needs of the business units.
    - Experience in varied BI contexts, both in IT and in business units.
    - Practical experience with data manipulation tools and data display.
    - Knowledge of relational data bases and programming in SQL.
    - Strong analytical and documentation skills.
    - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
    - Aptitude for maintaining a relationship of trust with business partners.
    - Autonomy, initiative, sense of organization and demonstrated leadership.
    - Strong client orientation.
    - Excellent team spirit.
    - Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English
